With a look that epitomises Southern California skate culture, it's not hard to see why Vans is a firm favourite with everybody from celebrities to pro skaters & even rappers. From humble beginnings in 1966, the brand now boasts a range of footwear styles from slip-on to high-tops as well as clothing & accessories.

Vans Shoes

Van was founded in 1966 when Paul Van Doren and three friends opened up their own store in California. It wasn't long after that the first Vans shoe was born, the #44 Deck (these days know as the Authentic.) It was in the 70's though that Vans really began to take off, proving a huge hit with skaters who couldn't get enough of the functional sole that worked well with their sport. But it wasn't just skaters who were keen on the footwear brand. In 1982 actor Sean Penn was spotted in the classic checkered slip-ons in the hit movie ”Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” Today the brand has grown beyond the skate culture scene and is a favourite with everyone from top of the chart rappers to the everyday on-trend individuals, who don't want to compromise style for comfort. Style your Vans with a simple summer t-shirt & a pair of casual jeans for an on-trend look.
